# HeroDevs End of Life Components

## About the Data

**Data Refresh Frequency:** Updated daily at around 01:35 UTC. New scan data can take up to 48 hours to appear due to pipeline ordering in the HI workspace.

**Displays Data for:** Based on the selected Last Scan Date filter.

**Minimum Requirements:** Applications must be scanned at least once to appear in this dashboard. You should be using version 201 or higher.

## Overview

The _HeroDevs End-of-Life Components_ Dashboard provides visibility into open source components that have reached end of life (EOL) and are eligible for HeroDevs support.

The components listed below are no longer supported and may contain known vulnerabilities that increase security risk. Patched, fully supported versions are available through HeroDevs.

## Filters Options

Use the filters at the top of the dashboard to refine the results displayed in the table.

Filters can be used individually or in combination. Charts and the table update automatically when filters are applied.

The following filters are available:

**Last Scan Date**: Filter results by the date applications were last scanned. The filter supports multiple date operators and relative date values.

**Application Name**: Select one or more applications to view detected end-of-life (EOL) components.

**Component Name**: Search for a component by name.

**Stage**: Filter components by stage. Available stages may include build, develop, operate, release, stage-release.

**Format**: Filter by component ecosystem or package format (for example, npm, Maven, or PyPI).

## Explore Your HeroDevs End of Life Components

### Total Components in Use

Displays the total number of components detected in your organization. The value updates based on the selected filters.

### Components with HeroDevs Support Available

Displays the number of end-of-life (EOL) components that have HeroDevs support available based on the selected filters.

### Components with HeroDevs Support

The Components with HeroDevs Support visualization displays the EOL components with available HeroDevs support that have the highest application count.

Application Count represents the total number of unique applications that use the specified component in the corresponding package format.

### Supported Components by Format

The Supported Components by Format chart displays the number of EOL components with HeroDevs support grouped by package ecosystem.

## Application and Component Details with HeroDevs Support

The Components with HeroDevs Support table displays end-of-life (EOL) components detected in your applications where HeroDevs support is available.

Only components with available HeroDevs support are shown. Components without HeroDevs support are excluded from this view.

Use the filters above to refine the results. Each row represents a single component instance and typically includes:

**Application Name**: The name of the application where the component was detected.

**Component Name**: Displays the fully qualified component identifier or display name, for example `org.apache.camel:camel-core` for Maven or `@angular/core` for npm. This helps uniquely identify each component without needing to cross-reference the namespace column separately.

**Component Purl**: Displays the standardized Package URL (PURL) for the component, including the package format, namespace or name, and version. For example, `pkg:maven/org.apache.camel/camel-core@3.14`. The PURL uniquely identifies the component and enables direct cross-referencing with vulnerability databases, SBOMs, and dependency tools that follow the PURL specification.

**Policy Violation ID**: Lists the unique IDs of all open policy violations associated with the component, enabling direct drill-down into specific violation details in IQ Server and linking EOL exposure to actionable remediation records.

**Format**: The component ecosystem or package format (for example, npm or Maven).

**EOL Versions Count(Global)**: Displays the total number of distinct component versions listed in the EOL Versions List (Global). This count is a global reference and is not specific to the application shown in the row.

**EOL Versions List(Global)**: Displays all EOL component versions detected in use across the platform.
