Nexus repository not displaying settings icon

I installed a fresh copy of the nexus repository on a digital ocean droplet. I am able to sign in as admin but the settings cog is not showing. It’s like I have limited access to the features. I’ve been trying to fix this for 3 days now. Please help!!!
