Error 500 when downloading package from group repository

Hello! We have a private proxy repository (A proxy repository → local other repository) and encountered a problem after upgrading from version 3.61.0 to version 3.66.0. A proxy repository became inaccessible in the group repository (from A The access to the proxy repository is normal), and “ Error 500” is displayed when accessing the group repository (as shown in the figure below). The group repository also contains several proxy repositories, including A proxy repository, which were in normal use before the upgrade.

user config registry group repository → group repository(A proxy repository) — Error 500

We’ve tried invalidating the cache, rebuilding the proxy repository and the group repository, but to no avail.

Could you please help us find out the cause of this problem? Thank you very much!

The exception suggests that the metadata isn’t valid, check the versions - registry/docs/REGISTRY-API.md at master · npm/registry · GitHub

thank you for your reply! After our follow-up investigation, we found that it was caused by a problem with one of the proxy repositories in the group repository. After we removed the problematic proxy repository, everything recovered.
